Everett Dobson

Executive Chairman at Dobson Fiber

Everett has been a member of the Dobson Fiber Board of Directors since 1982, served as CEO from 2012-2019 and currently serves as Executive Chairman. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

In 1989, Everett founded Dobson Communications Corporation (DCC) and was its Executive Chairman when it sold to AT&T in November 2007 for $5.1 billion enterprise which included $2.8 billion in equity market capital. At the time of the sale, the company was operating in 17 states, producing $1.6 billion in revenue, had 3,000 employees and 1.6 million subscribers.

Board membership includes Dobson Family Foundation, National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Keeneland Association in Lexington, Kentucky, and the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team.

Everett and his wife live in Oklahoma City. They have three daughters and four grandchildren.
