Thuong Nguyen Canh

Thuong Nguyen Canh is a Staff Researcher on Video Coding and Processing at Dolby Laboratories since May 2024, with expertise in video codecs and MPEG standards. Previously, Thuong served as a Senior Researcher at Tencent America from March 2020 to May 2024, focusing on multimedia standards and 3D mesh compression. Thuong's experience also includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Osaka University, specializing in computational photography and deep learning, and a PhD in Computer Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University, where Thuong also acted as Vice President of the Vietnamese Student Association. An internship at Alticast in 2017 provided exposure to artificial intelligence.
