He previously served as a director of Harris Teeter Supermarkets, Inc. from 2002 to 2014.
Mr. Spilman serves on the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges and previously was Chairman of the Board of Directors of New College Institute.
He received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.
Mr. Spilman serves as Chair of the Audit Committee and as a member of the Compensation, Governance and Nominating Committee.
