Karen Korthals has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karen started their career at Arcara & Borczynski LLP, where they served as a Manager and CPA, providing auditing, tax, and consulting services to corporate clients. Karen then joined the Buffalo Sabres as a Controller, responsible for financial statement preparation, analysis, and general ledger functions. Karen later worked at HSBC as a Tax Officer before joining Reid Petroleum Corp as a CFO/Treasurer, overseeing multiple business units. Karen then served as the Finance Director and Firm Administrator at Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP. Currently, Karen holds the position of Finance Director at Dopkins & Company, LLP.
Karen Korthals obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University at Buffalo in 1985. Karen also holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from New York State, which they obtained in 1987, and as a Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from AICPA, obtained in 2013.
