Jeffrey Acklie is an experienced professional with a diverse background in web design, insurance, and management. Since June 2012, Jeffrey has served as the Webmaster for the Douglas Omaha Technology Commission, responsible for updating and maintaining websites for the City of Omaha and Douglas County, alongside creating multimedia content. As the Owner of Acklie Web Designs since 1998, Jeffrey provides affordable custom web design, hosting, and email services. Jeffrey's extensive insurance experience includes roles as an Insurance Agent at Acklie Insurance Agency from June 1982 to December 2016 and at Farmers Insurance from 1991 to July 2010, along with a leadership position as an Insurance Agent - Sales Manager in the Midwest Region from 1982 to 1991. Academically, Jeffrey holds a BA in Graphic Arts - Web Design from Bellevue University and an Associate of Applied Science in Diesel Mechanics from Northeast Community College.

The Douglas-Omaha Technology Commission was created through an Interlocal Agreement in an effort to restructure all City and County technology functions under an independent Technology Commission. By merging the City of Omaha and Douglas County Information Services departments, DOTComm streamlines technology throughout the City and County, resulting in better, more cost-effective services to government agencies and taxpayers.
