Elgen Kua

Elgen Kua is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Communications for APAC at Dow Jones since August 2022, where responsibilities include developing communications strategies for employee engagement and external awareness. Prior to this role, Elgen held the position of Corporate Communications Director at South China Morning Post from January 2019 to July 2022, where strategic publicity campaigns were executed to enhance the organization's brand and corporate narrative. Experience also includes Director of Marketing & Communications for APAC at MP & Silva, Assistant Director roles at Fox International Channels and ESPN STAR Sports, as well as a Senior Executive position at the Singapore Sports Council. Elgen's educational background includes a Master's in Communications Management from the University of South Australia and a Bachelor's in Sociology & Literature from the National University of Singapore. Notable achievements include winning the PR Communications Team Commendation Award at the PR Awards APAC 2022 and successful brand positioning and CSR initiatives throughout various roles.
