At Downer Professional Services (DPS), we’re building our nation’s sovereign capability by providing critical advice and support to Defence, the Australian Government and National Security agencies. Our strong track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects speaks for itself. Yet building a strong relationship with each customer remains at the heart of what we do. 

We are a subsidiary of Downer Group, which has provided manufacturing and heavy industry capability to the Defence sector since the 1940s. DPS has been operating independently since 2018, and we’ve experienced significant growth in that time. Starting as a team of 220,  we now employ over 500 permanent staff, and we expect to continue to expand our capabilities over the next decade. 

Based in Canberra, we have offices across Australia, which allows us to effectively manage infrastructure projects nation-wide.
