John Stalbaum

John Stalbaum is a seasoned software engineer with experience in various industries. John most recently worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Doxel.ai, starting in October 2020. Prior to that, they held the role of Staff Software Engineer at Ubiquity6 Inc. from February 2019 to June 2020, where they played a key role in the development and release of Display.land, a photogrammetry system. John also worked as a Software Engineer at Ubiquity6 Inc. from February 2018 to February 2019.

Before joining Ubiquity6 Inc., John worked at Aemass, Inc. as a Software Engineer from May 2015 to January 2018. During their time there, they contributed significantly to the development of a workflow for producing high-quality 3D animations using multiple depth sensors.

Prior to that, John worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory, Korea University from February 2013 to January 2015. In this role, they conducted research on scene classification and integrated their work into existing Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) stacks.

Before transitioning into the field of software engineering, John worked as an Instructor at various educational institutions, including Jamjeon Elementary School from August 2012 to February 2013, Pagoda Academy from October 2011 to September 2012, and Youngju Girls' Middle School from February 2008 to January 2011.

To kickstart their career, John worked as an Application Support Technician at Touch Support, Inc. from May 2005 to February 2007.

John Stalbaum has a diverse education history. John first attended Purdue University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering. Later on, from 2011 to 2012, they attended Sogang University to study Korean Language. Finally, from 2013 to 2015, they attended Korea University and earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Robotics.
