Andrew Birgensmith

Andrew Birgensmith is an experienced professional in the arts and entertainment industry, currently serving as the Director of Programming at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts since December 2023. Prior to this role, Andrew held positions including Marketing & Events Manager at Pima Foundation and Founder/CEO of Songbird Entertainment, a company specializing in talent buying and event planning. Andrew has also contributed to numerous festivals and theaters, such as the Scottsdale Jazz Festival, Celebrity Theatre, Tucson Jazz Fest, Fox Tucson Theatre, and Tucson Symphony Orchestra, where leadership was demonstrated in various capacities including General Manager and Artistic & Production Director. Andrew possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Trombone Performance from Shenandoah University and has a rich history of over 20 years in the industry.
