Daniel Hammerle

Daniel Hammerle is a seasoned professional in mechanical engineering and opto-mechanical systems with extensive experience in management and team leadership. Currently serving as a Hardware Mechanical Engineer DMTS at Draper since January 2025, Daniel previously held the position of Manager of Opto-mechanical Engineering at Optikos Corporation, where responsibilities included overseeing a diverse engineering team for optical systems innovation. Prior to that, Daniel managed a multidisciplinary team at Northrop Grumman AOX, focusing on the development of deformable mirrors and optical systems for various applications. At L-3 Integrated Optical Systems, Daniel progressed from Program Manager, overseeing hyperspectral imager programs, to Lead Engineer, directing the design of optical telescope subsystems for defense and weather satellites. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
