Joe Lavecchia

Joe LaVecchia (Bumpus) is an Electro-Acoustic Development Engineer at Draper since June 2023, specializing in the integration of electronics and acoustics through research, design, and testing. Previously, Joe contributed to the Flat-Panel Loudspeaker Research Lab at the University of Rochester from January 2021 to May 2023, focusing on deep neural networks and haptic technology, while also serving as a teaching assistant for multiple audio electronics courses. Joe founded and coordinated the Rochester Producers and Musicians community, promoting collaboration among student artists. Additional experience includes internships at Empirical Labs and Sound On Sound Recording, along with roles in summer camp management and moving services. Joe holds a Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Audio & Music Engineering from the University of Rochester.
