Matthew Westerby

Teaching Artist at DreamYard Project

Matthew Westerby is an accomplished artistic director, choreographer, and educator with extensive experience in the performing arts. Currently serving as an adjunct professor at Sacred Heart University and artistic director of the Matthew Westerby Company since 2008, Matthew has also held various roles such as choreographer for the Hudson Guild Theatre Company and teaching artist for the DreamYard Project, among others. Matthew's contributions to dance include work with multiple organizations, notably as division chair of modern dance at Rivertown Dance Academy and former program director for Project Poetry Live! at Litchfield Performing Arts. An alumnus of Trinity Laban, Matthew is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Baruch College.
