Charles R Drew Charter School
Dr. Steven Armon Anderson currently serves as the Coordinator of Fine Arts at Charles R Drew Charter School, a position held since September 2020. Previously, Anderson worked as a Fine Arts Instructional Specialist for Clayton County Public Schools, where responsibilities included supporting and mentoring K-12 fine arts teachers and assisting in curriculum development. Anderson's teaching experience includes roles at Charles Drew High School as Director of Bands and Fine Arts Department Chair, Harper Archer Middle School with Atlanta Public Schools, and Northeast Guilford High School in Guilford County, where roles encompassed Director of Bands and AP Music Theory Teacher. Anderson obtained a Ph.D. in Teaching & Learning with a focus on Music Education from Georgia State University and holds a Master of Music Education from UNC Greensboro and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

Charles R. Drew Charter School opened in 2000 as the City of Atlanta's first public charter school. Drew represents the cradle-to-college pipeline in the East Lake community and is an integral part of a holistic neighborhood revitalization led by the East Lake Foundation.
