Lisa Wilson is an experienced educator with a tenure spanning over 17 years at Charles R Drew Charter School. Starting as a First Grade Teacher and subsequently serving as a Kindergarten Teacher, Lisa has dedicated significant time to nurturing young learners in the East Lake Community. In addition to classroom instruction, Lisa has contributed to the school's literacy center, implementing intensive reading and remediation programs while administering universal screening assessments to monitor student progress. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Differentiated Instruction at Concordia University-St. Paul, Lisa holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education and Teaching and Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Phoenix.

Charles R. Drew Charter School opened in 2000 as the City of Atlanta's first public charter school. Drew represents the cradle-to-college pipeline in the East Lake community and is an integral part of a holistic neighborhood revitalization led by the East Lake Foundation.
