Sharon Walker

Sharon Walker is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of environmental engineering with extensive experience in higher education. Currently serving as the Dean and Distinguished Professor at Drexel University since September 2018, Sharon is also the Executive Director of the ELATES program at Drexel. Additionally, contributions to various advisory boards, including the Diversity and Culture of Inclusion Advisory Board for the Internet of Things for Precision Agriculture Engineering Research Center and the Science Advisory Board for The Academy of Natural Sciences, demonstrate a commitment to fostering inclusion and advancing scientific endeavors. Previous roles include Professor and Associate Dean at the University of California, Riverside, and a Graduate Student Researcher at Yale University, where a PhD in Environmental Engineering was earned. Educational credentials also include a BS in Environmental Engineering and Environmental Studies from the University of Southern California.
