Steve Cooper has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Steve started their career at Driver Southall Ltd, where they held various graduate roles from 1979 to 1990. Steve then moved on to Rolls-Royce, where they performed various manufacturing management roles from 1990 to 1999. Steve joined Kingspan Global in 2000 as a Works Manager before transitioning to DS Smith in 2002. During their time at DS Smith, they held positions such as Operations Manager/General Manager, Managing Director, Strategic Account Director, Customer Business Unit Director, and Global Customer Business unit Director. Currently, they are serving as Vice President Sales Marketing and Innovation North America (int) at DS Smith. Steve has extensive experience in leading teams, developing key accounts, driving profitable growth, and understanding customer needs.
Steve Cooper attended Saïd Business School, University of Oxford from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Manager and Organization Development from Birmingham City University in 1998-1999. Steve also earned a DMS (post graduate diploma in management studies) from Birmingham City University in 1992-1994. Steve Cooper's undergraduate degree is a BSc (hons) in Production Technology and Production Management from Aston University, which they completed from 1983 to 1987. Before their university education, they pursued a Btec/HTC in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Sandwell College from 1979 to 1983.
