Torben Seir Olsen

Torben Seir Olsen is an experienced enterprise and cloud architect currently serving as Chefkonsulent at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen since June 2020, where responsibilities include leading the establishment of a Cloud Center of Excellence with a focus on research infrastructure and democratizing cloud capacity in Microsoft Azure. Prior experience includes membership in the ECHA Security Officer Network representing Denmark, as well as roles at Statens It where Torben served as a Senior IT Consultant and team representative for academic professionals. Additional previous positions include Special Advisor at the Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, IT Consultant and team leader at the Ministry of Refugee, Immigration and Integration Affairs, and IT Consultant at the Royal Library in Copenhagen. Torben holds a Cand.Comm. degree in Communication and Geography from Roskilde University and has a diverse educational background including studies at Himmelev Gymnasium and Sct Jørgens Skole.
