Boyko Atanasov

Boyko Atanasov has extensive work experience in the field of data protection and compliance. Boyko worked as the Chief Expert at the Data Protection Unit in DSK Bank from 2019 to present. Prior to that, they served as the Data Protection Officer at TBI Bank Bulgaria from 2018 to 2019, where they were responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and policies. Boyko also worked as a DPO and Senior Legal Adviser at United Bulgarian Bank from 2016 to 2018, where they focused on legal and compliance matters and provided advice on corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Before entering the field of data protection, Boyko worked at Telelink as a Project Manager and Legal Advisor, where they managed various projects, including site reconstructions and implementation of telecommunication systems, and handled commercial and civil law matters.

Boyko Atanasov obtained a National Diploma in English Language and Literature, General from Second English Language School "Thomas Jefferson" between 1994 and 1999. Boyko then pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Relations and Affairs from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, completing it between 1999 and 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Boyko Atanasov also obtained two certifications. Boyko received a certification in Italian for beginners from Astoria Group in April 2017, and an Excel specialist certification from the same institution in October 2016.
