Vincent Harraca

Vincent Harraca is an experienced professional in the field of chemical ecology and pest control, currently serving as the Head at dsm-firmenich since May 2023. Previously, Vincent was the Associate Director at Firmenich, where responsibilities included creating and developing a research and development platform in chemical ecology from January 2018 to May 2023. During tenure at AB7 Industries from October 2012 to January 2018 as R&D Manager, Vincent focused on developing innovative pest control solutions for veterinary, health, and agricultural sectors, while also building and leading teams of entomologists and microbiologists. Vincent's academic background includes post-doctoral research at both the South African Sugarcane Research Institute and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, along with experience at Lund University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, concentrating on the chemical ecology of pests. Vincent earned a PhD in Animal Physiology from Université de Neuchâtel and holds master's and bachelor's degrees in Neurosciences, Cognition & Behaviour, and Ecology, respectively, from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III.
