Kate Mitchell

Kate Mitchell serves as a Corporate Communications Senior Strategist at DTE Energy since June 2021, previously holding the position of Corporate Communications Strategist. Alongside this role, Kate is an Adjunct Professor at Adrian College, which commenced in August 2021. Prior experience includes editorial and writing positions at various publications, such as Editor in Chief at Maple City Our Town and Columnist and Features Production Editor at The Blade. Kate has also guided student media as Advisor of the Eastern Echo and Director of Student Media at Eastern Michigan University. A background in design and editing was established through roles at The Daily Telegram and The Wisconsin State Journal. Educational qualifications comprise a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Eastern Michigan University and ongoing pursuit of a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
