Todd Richards

Todd Richards currently serves as DTE Gas General Counsel and Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at DTE Energy, a position held since June 2024. Prior to this role, Todd was Manager of Legal & General Counsel at DTE Vantage from July 2007 to June 2024, providing comprehensive legal support on various business matters. Todd's extensive experience in military legal affairs includes serving as Assistant Staff Judge Advocate for the United States Navy from 2002 to 2023, where leadership and legal advice were provided across major military commands. Additionally, Todd held various legal positions in the private sector, including Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel at Aggregate Industries and Regional Counsel for Holcim (US) Inc. Todd's educational background includes a Master of Laws in Environmental Law from Georgetown University Law Center and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
