Michaela Geronima Doelman

Michaela Geronima Doelman currently serves as the VP of Government Relations & Communications at Debris to Green Recycling since August 2025. Prior experience includes a role as State Chief Human Resources Officer for the State of Washington from August 2022 to August 2025, where oversight included HR policy and service support for approximately 70,000 state employees. Michaela participated in Leadership Tomorrow as a 2022 Cohort Member and 2023 Coach, focusing on anti-racist community leadership. Additional roles include Chief Human Resources Officer at the Employment Security Department, Assistant Director at the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services, HR Managing Director at the Washington State Department of Commerce, and Talent Acquisition & Career Services Manager at the Washington State Department of Transportation. Michaela boasts a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Public Policy and Government Relations from The Evergreen State College and a BA in Philosophy and Spanish from the University of Portland.
