Elena Papaleo is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in computational biology and bioinformatics. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at DTU - Technical University of Denmark and Københavns Universitet, Elena also holds the position of Group Leader at Kræftens Bekæmpelse (Danish Cancer Society), leading a team focused on structural biology, biomolecular simulations, and cancer data analyses. In addition, Elena is actively involved in editorial roles for several scientific journals, including PeerJ, PLoS One, and Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences. Previously, Elena held postdoctoral and visiting researcher positions at prominent institutions, and earned a PhD in Industrial Biotechnology with a specialization in Biomolecules from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.
