Uma Parakala has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies.

Starting in 2012, Uma worked as a Student Programmer at Animal Disease Modeling and Surveillance.

In 2013, Uma joined Object Edge as a Software Engineering Intern, where they improved the usability of an in-house automated testing framework and reduced the analysis time of regression test results. They also developed a UI for viewing and editing test flows.

Uma continued their journey at Object Edge as a Software Engineer, leading the development of key e-commerce web pages and gaining expertise in Java and e-commerce platforms like Oracle ATG Commerce and Endeca.

In 2016, Uma joined Inovia-team as a Software Engineer, where they implemented a web app to help business analysts classify product and revenue insights more efficiently.

Finally, Uma joined Duetto in 2017, starting as a Software Engineer and eventually becoming a Senior Software Engineer. At Duetto, they were involved in the development of a flagship product called BlockBuster, handling core development and leading a team of 6 across different locations. They also worked on a cross-product framework that improved data generation capabilities.

Throughout their work experience, Uma has proven to be a skilled developer and self-driven learner, with expertise in various programming languages and technologies.

Uma Parakala completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Uma attended the university from 2009 to 2013.
