James R Hall

James R Hall is an accomplished IT Database Analyst and Data Engineer with extensive experience in managing and optimizing Db2 databases across various environments. Currently serving as a Sr IT Database Analyst/Sr Data Engineer at Duke Energy Corporation since March 2019, James has led database administrator testing for maintenance upgrades and supported critical customer databases in multiple Db2 environments. Previously, James worked as a DB2 DBA z/OS for Eliassen Group, where the role directly led to a full-time position at Duke Energy. Additionally, James has held notable positions as a Lead Database Consultant at Health Care Service Corporation, managing financial and HR systems, and as a Database Administrator at FIS and Sears, Roebuck and Co., where expertise in z/OS DB2 was developed. James possesses a strong foundation in database management, performance optimization, and technical leadership throughout a career spanning over three decades. Education was completed at City Colleges of Chicago-Richard J Daley College.
