Mike Watts has a diverse work experience spanning accounting, analyst, and management roles. Mike started their career as an Accounting Intern/Accounting Specialist at BNY Mellon in 2009. Mike then worked as an Accounts Payable Associate at rue21 and later as an Analyst in Import Accounting at American Eagle Outfitters. In 2014, they joined Alcoa as a Solutions Specialist. At Duquesne Light Company, Mike held various positions starting from Business Systems Analyst II to Supervisor, Customer Applications, and finally advanced to the role of Manager, Customer Applications. Mike also served as the Sr Manager for Grid Modernization Technology before becoming the Director of Operations Applications in 2023.

Mike Watts attended Kent State University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Accounting. In 2022, they also earned the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org.
