Rolando Irizarry

Rolando Irizarry is a seasoned software engineer currently managing the SCADA Energy Management System at Duquesne Light Company since March 2022. Previous experience includes serving as an EMS Network Analyst at PJM Interconnection, where responsibilities encompassed network administration of the Energy Management System and maintaining ICCP communications applications. Rolando coordinated the Extreme Engineering Challenge, fostering engineering skills among students, and worked as a Field Engineer at Emerson Automation Solutions, where responsibilities included maintaining control systems and providing technical support for power generation and water treatment plants. Earlier roles include a computer technician and program lead at Penn State University, as well as a project engineer intern at Standard Textile, where Rolando established project scopes for energy conservation initiatives. Rolando holds a B.S. in Energy Engineering from Penn State University.
