Sam Lukubira, Ph.D., is a Senior R&D Polymer Scientist at Dura-Line since February 2019, specializing in evaluating polymer resin structure-property-processing relationships for new product development. Previously, Sam worked as a Research Scientist at Clemson University's CAEFF, leading a multimillion-dollar project on carbon fibers funded by DARPA and managing polymer processing and characterization labs. A Graduate Research Assistant at Clemson University from 2009 to 2014, Sam focused on biodegradable plastics created from agricultural products and co-products. Sam has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and a BSc in Chemistry from Makerere University. Previous experience also includes working as a Production Engineer at Kinyara Sugar Works Ltd, overseeing cane sugar production processes.
