Dan Gilson

Dan Gilson has been engaged with Durham Academy since October 2004, currently holding the positions of Diversity, Equity and Engagement Coordinator and Director of Extended Day. Responsibilities in these roles encompass managing comprehensive after school programs for children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, which includes overseeing multiple programs and enrichment classes. Additionally, Dan serves as the Director of Summer Programs, where duties involve recruiting instructors, managing registrations, and overseeing communications for a vast array of summer camps that serve a large number of children. Dan's previous experience includes roles such as Assistant Director of Summer Programs and Teaching Assistant for 4th grade. In conjunction with these roles, Dan is also the Board Treasurer for STRONGHER TOGETHER since July 2017. Dan holds both a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Education in Human Development from Boston College.
