Senior Image Processing Engineer at DxO

Ricardo Sapaico is a Senior Image Processing Engineer at DxO since January 2021. Ricardo worked as a Researcher in Image Processing/Computer Vision at KGK Corp. from April 2011 to September 2014, responsible for developing algorithms for automatic inspection of electronic circuits. Additionally, they worked as a Part-time Researcher at KGK Corp. from June 2010 to March 2011, developing an algorithm for depth map estimation. Ricardo started their career at Electromédica Peruana S.A. as an Engineer Intern from April 2002 to July 2002. Ricardo also held a role as a Translation Checker at ALAYA INC. from September 2008 to July 2010.

Ricardo Sapaico started their education journey at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 1996 to 2001. Following this, they joined the Tokyo Institute of Technology and earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Science from 2005 to 2007. Ricardo continued their studies at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from 2007 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Ricardo Sapaico has obtained various certifications. Ricardo completed the "Git Intermediate Techniques" certification program at LinkedIn in May 2020, the "Git Essential Training: The Basics" program at LinkedIn in April 2020, and the "Git: Branches, Merges, and Remotes" program at LinkedIn in April 2020. In July 2019, they acquired the "Python Programming" certification from DataCamp. Moreover, in October 2015, they obtained the "UAV Remote Sensing Applications" certification from BCN Drone Center. Their certifications also include the completion of the "Image and video processing: From Mars to Hollywood with a stop at the hospital" program, which was verified by Coursera in March 2014.
