Systems and Test Engineering Lead at DZYNE Technologies

Chris B. has over 18 years of work experience in the aerospace industry. Chris began their career in 2004 as a Student Pilot in the United States Air Force. Chris then worked as an Instructor/Evaluator Pilot, Pilot/Aircraft Commander, and USAF Test Pilot School Student. In 2016, they joined Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation as a Test Pilot - fixed wing, where they flew dozens of test campaigns on optionally-piloted, manned, and unmanned aircraft. Chris also led airworthiness efforts, integrated product teams, and test teams for several projects for commercial and public use aircraft. In the same year, they joined the US Air Force Reserve as Chief, Autonomous Systems - Air Force Test and Evaluation and Airborne Warfighting Integration Officer. In 2020, they became a Flight Test Consultant at Blue Line Flight Test, LLC. Currently, they are the Systems and Test Engineering Lead at DZYNE Technologies, where they manage all flight testing for several programs from sUAS to large autonomous platforms and provides systems engineering for product design.

Chris B. attended the University of Notre Dame from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering. Chris then attended the USAF Test Pilot School from 2011 to 2012, where they earned an MS in Flight Test Engineering. Chris also holds an Airline Transport Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration, as well as a Small UAS Certification - Part 107 from the Federal Aviation Administration.
