Karen Horne

Karen Horne is an experienced educator with a comprehensive background in leadership and teaching within primary education. Currently serving as Education Director - Primary at E-ACT since February 2015, Karen has also held positions as Deputy Regional Education Director and Head Teacher. Prior experience includes roles as Vice Principal and Acting Deputy Headteacher at Academies Enterprise Trust Careers, Assistant Headteacher at Montgomery Primary School, and a subject leader at Allens Croft Primary School and Middlemarch Junior School. Karen's areas of expertise encompass Maths, Assessment, ICT, and leadership for KS1 and KS2. An alumnus of Bath Spa University with a Bachelor of Science degree in ICT & DT, Karen's educational foundation was preceded by studies at Solihull Sixth Form College and Alderbrook School.
