Fraser Parlane is an Intermediate Software Engineer II at EarthDaily Analytics since June 2023, focusing on the development of innovative thermal band products and advanced calibration and validation pipelines for satellite systems. Prior to this role, Fraser served as a Program Manager and Lead Data Scientist at The University of British Columbia from 2020 to 2022, where an $8M project was managed to create the first autonomous thin-films robotic laboratory and developed advanced Bayesian optimization algorithms. Fraser also contributed as a Lecturer and Teaching Assistant Mentor, instructing over 600 students and receiving excellent course reviews. Previous experiences include a Technical Program Manager and Software Engineer internship at Google, co-founding TutorTree, and working as an Invited Scientist at Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource, along with a research role at Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier. Fraser holds a PhD in Chemistry from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Trinity Western University.
