William Parkinson

William Parkinson is an accomplished professional in the field of remote sensing and data science, currently serving as the Director of Product Management at EarthDaily Analytics since March 2021. Previously, William held multiple roles at UrtheCast from May 2015 to February 2021, including Technical Product Manager and Technical Manager in Research and Data Science. With a strong background in technical leadership, William has effectively coordinated complex software systems and managed interdisciplinary research projects, while overseeing the development of machine learning methodologies and data science implementations. Early career experiences include positions at the Canadian Center for Remote Sensing, Algonquin College as a teacher, and Natural Resources Canada, contributing to expertise in geospatial data capture and analysis. William holds an M.Sc. in Geography and a B.Sc. in Geomatics with a minor in Computer Science from Carleton University.
