Michael Rost

Michael Rost is an experienced engineering manager currently serving as Engineer Manager III at EarthScope Consortium, where responsibilities include overseeing Data Archiving activities. Transitioning from a software engineering role due to the UNAVCO merger in 2023, Michael previously held various software engineering positions at UNAVCO from July 2014 to April 2023, focusing on software design, development, testing, and integration. Earlier in the career, Michael was a Maritime Environment Forecaster for the US Navy for nearly two decades, managing forecasting teams and computer modeling projects. Michael's educational background includes multiple advanced degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School in Computer Science and Meteorology and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
