Brandon Swaby

Brandon Swaby currently serves as School Principal at the East Harlem Tutorial Program since July 2021 and previously held the role of Assistant Principal. Prior experience includes various educational leadership positions at KIPP NYC from July 2015 to August 2021, where Brandon was a Grade Level Chair, Lead History Teacher, Debate Coach, Advocacy Point Person, and Empire Fellow Teaching Resident. Additionally, Brandon has held roles such as Leadership Coach, Teaching for Education Equity Advisor, and Mentor Teacher with Teach For America from March 2019 to July 2020, and served as a Special Assistant To The Director at Prep for Prep in the summer of 2018. Other relevant experience includes a consulting role with Relay Graduate School of Education, serving as a Substitute Teacher with the NYC Department of Education, and working as a Student Advocate at Harlem Children's Zone. Education includes a Master of Science in Education Leadership from Hunter College (August 2024 - May 2026), a Master of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education (2015 - 2017), and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from William Paterson University of New Jersey (2012 - 2014).
