Eat the Change
Julie Farkas has a wealth of experience in the non-profit sector, beginning in 1984 as a Program Officer at Enterprise Community Partners. Julie then moved to the House of Stankevich in 1989 as a Teacher, followed by the Arlington-Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless in 1991 as Director of the LifeWorks Employment Program. In 1999, they became a Senior Program Officer at the Consumer Health Foundation, and in 2013 they were appointed Chief Strategic Growth Officer at Urban Alliance. In 2019, they founded and became Chief Impact Officer at PLNT Burger, and in 2020 they moved to Eat the Change as Chief Impact Officer. Most recently, they were appointed Senior Advisor at Springsong, a museum inspired by Rachel Carson, in 2022.

Eat the Change is the brainchild of Seth Goldman, Founder of Honest Tea and Chair of the Board at Beyond Meat, and celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn who share the belief that the foods we eat represent our largest daily environmental impact.
