Jim McCarthy LC, CLC has extensive experience in the lighting industry, serving as Senior Market Specialist at Cooper Lighting since June 1999, where the primary focus is on educating employees and guests about sustainable energy-efficient lighting and providing customer feedback to guide product development. Prior to this role, Jim worked at Eaton from 2005 to 2015 in various market specialist positions, and at Active Electrical Supply Co from June 1976 to May 1999 as Lighting Manager/Purchasing, along with earlier experience as Warehouse Manager at Active Electrical Supply from 1970 to 1976. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with triple majors in Communication, Political Science, and U.S. History from Northeastern Illinois University, completed between 1973 and 1977.
