Mr. Eppich holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and Computer and Information Sciences from the University of California in Berkeley. Richard’s early career included the founding of the software company Enterra Systems Inc., a ‘Workforce Suite’ for the management of data: relating to cost, time, attendance, and scheduling. Mr. Eppich is currently the Vice-Chair and Director of the World Trade Center – Vancouver. He is also the Director of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.

As a new immigrant to Canada from Germany, Helmut Eppich, Chairman, founded Ebco Industries in 1956 as a small Tool and Die shop. Over 52 years ago that Tool and Die shop became the birthplace of Ebco, which has now become an association of companies that specialize in the custom manufacturing of metallic based products and components. Ebco is a large custom manufacturer specializing primarily in the machining, fabricating, and assembly of large and small components and equipment. Headquartered near Vancouver, Canada - Ebco's facilities include 300,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space - including advanced CNC machines, large steel and alloy fabrication and welding equipment, and lifting capabilities to 180 tons. The company serves a wide range of corporations in North America and around the world including pulp and paper and mining companies and the power generation, offshore oil production, aerospace, defence, and medical industries. CAPABILITIES Ebco is best known for its great diversity in skills and capabilities. We manufacture a wide range of products, from large extra heavy components used in dragline mining shovels to off shore oil and gas equipment to hospital related pathology equipment. And Ebco's highly skilled workforce has demonstrated its versatility by assembling and testing Demag mining shovels as well as fabrication and machining of complex products for many OEM's. Ebco's quality assurance staff are certified and equipped to ensure that your quality requirements are maintained at every stage of the manufacturing process. Ebco's inspectors are certified to ASNT level II for non-destructive testing using liquid dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. Inspectors are also certified by the Canadian Government Inspection Board in Non-destructive testing techniques, as well as AWS and CWB welding inspector techniques. Our inspectors are responsible for the supervision of sub-contracted radiographic and ultrasonic inspections of welds. For pressure vessels, we adhere to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code, and as an ASME certificate holder, we can apply the U and U2 stamps.
