Peter Jones McIis

Peter Jones FCIIS is an experienced professional in the field of cyber security and education. As the owner of The Cyber Badger since September 2014, Peter engages in public speaking, mentoring, and consultancy. Currently serving as a CISO Council member for Darktrace in EMEA, Peter offers advisory insights while also directing BSides Exeter and volunteering as a parent governor at The Spires College. Peter leads mentorship programs at CAPSLOCK and holds a role as an IT Information Security Officer at an undisclosed organization, focusing on security threats and governance. As chair of the South West Branch of the Chartered Institute of Information Security and an advisory board member for EC-Council, Peter actively contributes to the industry. Previous experience includes managing the Devon Sharks amateur rugby league club and leading Media Badger UK alongside a creative partner. Peter's academic qualifications include a PG Cert LTHE from the University of Lancashire, an MSc in Internet and Enterprise Systems from the University of Huddersfield, and a BSc in Computing from the University of Plymouth.
