The ECE legend began as early as 1945. ECE (B.K.BIRLA Group of Company) started as a small electrical repair workshop in Calcutta, during World war days, steadily emerged as a growing industrial enterprise establishing itself in various fields of the Indian Electrical Industry. From the manufacture of transformers, which ECE took up first, the Company has expanded its activities into five major areas of power technology, such as the manufacture of Transformers, Switchgears, Lifts, Electricity Meters and Turnkey electrification. ECE’s infrastructure includes 5 manufacturing units – two in Andhra Pradesh and one each in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal – with a workforce of over 4000 people and offices spread across the length and breadth of the country. Over its five decades of resourceful growth, ECE has built up a commendable infrastructure and investment in know-how, equipment and manpower which has tremendous growth potential for expanding into several technology fields. The Transformer Factory at Sonepat commenced commercial production of Transformers in the year 1967-68. Based on our past experience, we are continuing to manufacture and supply reliable high quality Power Transformers to various Electricity Boards and Supply Undertakings in India & Abroad. ECE has in house facilities of Core cutting, Tank Fabrication, Radiator Manufacturing etc. ECE is an ISO-9001:2008 certified company and we follow high quality standards to make use of advanced design and technology. Currently, ECE is well equipped to manufacture Power Transformers up to 100 MVA – 220 kV class with factories located at Sonepat (Haryana) and Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh).
