Rob Armstrong

Rob Armstrong is an experienced professional in the field of chemical engineering and catalysis, currently serving as Team Leader for Polyol Scale Up at Econic Technologies Ltd since March 2019. In this leadership role, Rob oversees technology development and scale-up, collaborating with international partners for the transfer of CO2-polymer technology. Previous positions at Econic include Senior Process Scientist, Interim Pilot Plant Manager, and Senior Scientist in Catalyst Discovery, focusing on the development of catalytic processes and new catalysts for CO2 polymer production. Before joining Econic, Rob worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Cardiff University, where research included applying heterogeneous catalysis to biomass feedstocks and developing catalysts for CO2 conversion. Rob holds a PhD in Heterogeneous Catalysis from Cardiff University, an MS in Green Chemistry and Sustainable Industrial Technology from the University of York, and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Bath.
