Ricardo Seligmann Villegas

Ricardo Seligmann Villegas is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate affairs and energy transition. Since December 2017, Ricardo has served as the Board Secretary and Energy Transition Lead at Ecopetrol Trading Asia and as a Senior Corporate Affairs Lawyer, providing legal guidance on corporate governance and coordinating external counsel across multiple jurisdictions. Prior to joining Ecopetrol, Ricardo worked as a Senior Associate at Muñoz Tamayo & Asociados Abogados, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, and contractual negotiations, with a focus on sectors including oil and gas, insurance, and retail. Earlier legal experience includes advising on foreign investments and litigation in public and administrative law. Ricardo holds a Bachelor in Law from Universidad de Los Andes and an MBA from NEOMA Business School.
