Emily Best is a seasoned Program Manager at ECOS since November 2022, focusing on chemical and nanomaterial policies for a toxic-free environment. Previously, Emily coordinated campaigns at Zero Waste Europe, managing a coalition on food contact materials. As Director of Advocacy for the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association, Emily handled the policy portfolio and outreach efforts until the COVID-19 crisis. Prior roles include leading special reports and research at the Pennsylvania Auditor General's office, general management at the Tuscarora Organic Growers Coop, and involvement in farming and social media management at New Morning Farm. Emily's international experience includes serving as an Environmental Education Extension Agent with the Peace Corps. Emily holds a Master of Arts in Global Environmental Policy from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pittsburgh.
