Maurice J. Watkins has a diverse work experience that spans several different industries. Maurice J. started their professional career as an Engineering Intern at Gulfstream Aerospace in 2007. Maurice J. then transitioned to a Graduate Assistant position at Georgia Southern University, where they worked from 2007 to 2008.

Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering at North Carolina State University in 2003. Maurice J. Watkins also obtained additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the industry. In 2015, they became a certified Java SE 6 Programmer by Oracle, and in 2022, they obtained the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
