Megha Chopra

Megha Chopra is a seasoned professional in economic development and procurement, currently serving as Vice President for Special Projects & Activations at the New York City Economic Development Corporation since August 2017. In this role, Megha leads the redevelopment of historic public markets in New York City through strategic capital investments and marketing initiatives. Previous positions include Assistant Vice President and Senior Associate in Public Markets, where Megha significantly contributed to the revitalization of Essex Street Market. Prior to this, Megha held key roles at Pret A Manger as Senior Category Manager, managing substantial budgets and driving improvements in product quality, and at FreshDirect as Category Merchant, where a focus on local suppliers resulted in increased sales. Megha's career began at FTI Consulting as a Management Consultant. Education includes a B.S. in Finance & Economics from New York University.
