Niall MacLeod has a diverse background, starting from working as a bar tender at The Park Bar in Glasgow to coaching cricket and hockey at Uddingston Cricket and Sports Club. With a degree in Sport Development from the University of the West of Scotland and a degree in Marine Operations from City of Glasgow College, Niall has transitioned into the maritime industry, gaining experience as a Cadet at GulfMark Offshore and progressing to roles such as Second Officer/DPO at GULFMARK UK LTD and Chief Officer at Edda Wind. Additionally, Niall has volunteered as a Clydesider during the Commonwealth Games and worked as an Assistant Sports Development Coordinator at the University of Strathclyde.

Established in 2015, Edda Wind is a provider of purpose-built Service Operation Vessels (SOV) and Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOV) to the global offshore wind market. Our vessels accommodate wind turbine technicians and provide services during the commissioning and operation of offshore wind farms. The company owns and operates two vessels working for Ørsted. In addition, we have a newbuild program for two SOVs and seven CSOVs, of which four vessels have already been awarded medium- and long-term contracts. The company is listed on Euronext Oslo.
