Christopher Thompson has a wealth of experience in the commodities trading industry. Christopher most recently served as the Head of Proprietary Trading for ED&F Man's coffee division, consistently delivering profitable performance. Prior to this, they held various leadership roles at Olam, including Chief Trading Officer for Sugar and Senior VP Macro and Strategic Trading for Cocoa. At Noble Group, they were the Director of Base Metals Trading and Research, and at Louis Dreyfus Commodities, they held positions such as Director of Refined Metals and Proprietary Trading and Head of Global Cocoa Cash Trading. Christopher also worked at Cargill, where they served as a Trade and Structured Finance Executive and Commodity Broker. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated excellent leadership skills, expertise in risk management, and a track record of generating substantial revenue for the organizations they have worked for.
Christopher Thompson attended Aston University from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Managerial and Administrative Studies. Additionally, Christopher pursued further education at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they obtained a Certificate in Managerial Finance. The program at LSE focused on subjects such as financial statement analysis, optimal investing, and funding strategies.
