Hans Hershberger has a diverse work experience in various industries. Starting in 2016, they worked as a Digital Fabrication Lab Technician at California Polytechnic State University for a brief period. In the same year, they also had an internship as an Explosive Operations Intern at Sandia National Laboratories and worked as a Hardware and Lumber Associate at Miner's Ace Hardware, Inc. In 2017, they became a Barista at The Steaming Bean Coffee & Tea Company. In 2018, Hans worked as an Arc Jet Intern at NASA Ames Research Center. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer II at H2O Engineering, Inc. In 2021, they became a Mechanical Engineer at Edge Autonomy and a Potter at Ohya Pottery.
Hans Hershberger completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2015, they participated in the Dual Credit Program at Central New Mexico Community College. During their education, they also obtained additional certifications, including Open Water Diver from PADI in August 2017 and Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America in December 2012.
