Bianka Mejia has a strong background in system safety engineering and human systems integration. Bianka most recently worked as a Principal System Safety Engineer at Edge Case Research starting in July 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Sr. System Safety Engineer II at Raytheon Missiles & Defense from November 2020 to July 2021. Before entering the private sector, Bianka served as a System Safety and Survivability Specialist at the U.S. Coast Guard (CG-1B3) from June 2018 to November 2020, where they provided professional guidance on system safety for the development, testing, fielding, and sustainment of Coast Guard assets and systems service-wide. Bianka also has experience as an Engineering Psychologist at the U.S. DOT Volpe National Transportation Systems Center from June 2012 to June 2018.
